Chris Edwards takes a look at a typical English Barley harvest day in 2013. Filmed on the East coast of Suffolk, watch the grain being harvested then transported back to the grain store where it is sampled and recorded. A great insight on modern farming today and the size of equipment needed to achieve a successful and cost effective harvest. The Barley is Maris Otter an ancient classic variety grown for many niche Ales and will be destined for local Suffolk company Adnams of Southwold.
