Last year, Red Tractor launched the hugely successful campaign “Trust The Tractor”. The campaign highlighted that when you see the Red Tractor logo you can trust that the product has met responsible production standards at every critical stage of the food supply chain and is traceable back to independently inspected and assured farms in the UK. So popular was the call to action that hundreds signed up to spread the word in their local areas.

To celebrate all UK food and farming under the Red Tractor mark, Alex hosted a bonfire party on his Oxfordshire farm on 1st March, and 45 Red Tractor Recruits and their families turned out in force. During the evening the guests enjoyed a spectacular bonfire and firework display, along with delicious Red Tractor sourced food and drink including Red Tractor Assured pork, potatoes, cheese, apple juice and seasonal cocktails*. Entertainment was provided by local musician Bill Lovelady, and the ideas corner was a roaring success as Recruits shared their inspiration to take the Red Tractor message to their communities.

Alex James said: “It was brilliant to see such a mixture of people – including farmers, parents, food bloggers and food businesses, all united by a passion for good food. It was a chance for us all to share ideas and inspire each other on ways we can increase knowledge across the country of how food is produced, and why people can Trust the Tractor.”
