FootprintChannel: Waste – What Next? took traditional webcast technology one step further. Key Thought Leaders came together for a live TV programme, broadcast online. Those in the programmes are authorities in their field. We gave you the opportunity to interact with them live on the show – all from the comfort of your own desk or board room! If you cannot attend the live show, it doesn’t matter because FootprintChannel: Waste – What Next? is now available ‘On Demand’. Best of all, its FREE.

Waste is one of the most emotive subjects of our time. Following the media attention, it’s time to get down to the real business of reducing the foodservice and hospitality industry’s food and packaging waste impact. Waste is an ongoing issue and not a quick fix. Its important that we keep driving actions throughout the supply chain.

The Hospitality and Foodservice Agreement was published in June. Many key industry stakeholders have signed up but the burning question is: What next? What impact are we having? What are the measurable benefits? FootprintChannel: Waste – What Next? will give businesses already committed an update but also serve as an information resource to those yet to do so. The broadcast will give an unique supply chain perspective and will address how the Voluntary Agreement will impact you no matter if you are the board director of a contract caterer, manage an independent pub or an estate, are charged with the sustainability of a group of quick service restaurants, oversee the waste stream of a hotel group, are a facilities manager, own a small B&B, or are a Michelin starred chef.

The programme consists of two panels with Thought Leaders and Policy Makers. On the next live show, you will again also have the opportunity to submit questions pre-broadcast to help shape the debate around information you require. The show will last 45 minutes, but panelists are committed to answering all of your questions two hours following the show.

FootprintChannel: Waste – What Next? is powered by WRAP, Nestlé Professional, Brakes, Acquire Services and Huhtamaki, and is in association with The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management, The British Hospitality Association and The Institute of Hospitality, 3G Sauce Consult, LACA and the Restaurants Show. Three panel sessions will give you an overarching view of the waste issue from a very senior standpoint; an operational view from both big and small operators in both the cost and profit sectors; and a food and packaging waste perspective with technical waste management insight.
