Speaking about the Roll of Honour announcement Amanda Ursell, Health & Vitality Honours Ambassador and Judge said:

“As the Ambassador of the Health & Vitality Honours, I am hugely proud to be involved in an industry that is making huge changes. This year’s entries to the Health & Vitality Honours, both in qualitative and quantitative terms, reflect that the agenda is progressing at an ever greater pace and we look forward to building on this year on year.”

Companies in the Roll of Honour will be subject to strict criteria, including the wider societal impact of their health and wellbeing programmes, the ways in which initiatives are being shared across the industry as best practice for all and the ways in which they have, or plan to, continue to improve year-on-year.

Speaking about this year’s nomination Nick Fenwick-Clennell, CEO of Footprint, said it was ‘high time’ the foodservice sector got the ‘recognition it deserved’.

“We hear a great deal about what is going on in the retail sector or the education sector around health and nutrition but it’s rare for a contract caterer, for example, to be held up as an example of best practice in this area.” He added “Despite this lack of recognition for the sterling work that often has a far reaching impact, the foodservice sector continues to strive for excellence in nutrition and wellbeing and works tirelessly to drive the agenda and deal with the issues.

“The Health and Vitality Honours are one way that we can celebrate that work, and recognise the key contribution the industry as a whole is making.”

The winners will be announced on Thursday 23rd January at a presentation lunch in The Long Room at Lords Cricket Ground. Tickets to attend the awards lunch are now available. For information and to book tickets or a table CLICK HERE
