Public Health Responsibility Conference

November 21 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The Public Health Responsibility Conference sets out to redress the understanding between the foodservice industry and policy makers. It is a platform where industry, academics, NGO’s, media and government come together to explore, share and experiment with practical ways in which expectations can be achieved on sugar and other health impacts, whilst looking ahead and creating a roadmap to future industry advances.

PHRC’s purpose will also be to communicate very clearly to government who and how the sector is going the extra mile whilst being an opportunity for DH and PHE to demonstrate its understanding and constructive approach to the out of home sector.

The Public Health Responsibility Conference will also see the launch of the new Food Network Committee, comprised of senior foodservice professionals, which will set out a road map and vision of progress for the industry to work to for the next 5 years.

Why get involved?

  • Maintain momentum
  • Hold industry to account
  • Hold government to account
  • Engage further operators and their supply chain
  • Redefine the solutions
  • Announce a new Food Network Committee
  • Set a five year strategy and roadmap to best practice
  • Drive collaboration
  • Promote innovation
  • Announce new research and thought leadership

The agenda is evolving and PHRC, with its theme of “Rethinking Solutions”, sets out to redefine the agenda away from pure “nutritionalism” to fresh thinking around portion sizing, communications, new business models and practices. Conference will break down the issues in individual channels and enlighten a new path to best practice.
